In a statement released on Monday, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye highlighted that the company reported a profit of N3.3 trillion for 2023, as detailed in its 2023 Audit Financial Statement.

Regarding the fuel shortages affecting Lagos, Abuja, and other cities, Dapo Segun, Executive Vice President of Downstream, mentioned that NNPCL is collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve distribution and logistics issues contributing to the scarcity.

The 2023 financial statement also reveals a significant profit increase of over N700 billion, or 28 percent, compared to the N2.548 trillion profit reported for 2022.
