No Candidate Gets Our Support — Miyetti Allah Issues Political Warning Over Bodejo’s Detention
The Bauchi State Council of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the continued detention of its National Leader, Bello Bodejo, and facilitate his release.
The association also called on the President to ensure that due process is followed if there are legal grounds for Bodejo’s continued detention.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the appeal was made by the association’s Bauchi State Chairman, Sale Garbu, during a press conference in the state.
Garbu expressed concern over what he described as Bodejo’s prolonged detention without being brought before a court, saying the situation had generated anxiety among members of the organisation.
He urged Tinubu to use his office to address the matter, either by facilitating Bodejo’s release or ensuring that the appropriate legal procedures are followed.
The association’s chairman maintained that Bodejo had contributed to efforts aimed at promoting peace and security in Nigeria, particularly in addressing challenges affecting communities.
Garbu also appealed to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to intervene and support efforts to secure the release of the Miyetti Allah leader in good health.
In a further declaration, the association said it would not support any political candidate, regardless of party affiliation, until Bodejo was released.
According to the chairman, the decision reflects the organisation’s position on the continued detention of its leader and its desire for a resolution to the matter.
The appeal places renewed attention on Bodejo’s detention, with Miyetti Allah urging the Federal Government and relevant authorities to address its concerns through appropriate legal and administrative channels.
