Sule made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he dismissed comparisons between President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima and potential opposition candidates ahead of the next presidential election.

According to the governor, the achievements of the Tinubu administration would ultimately determine voters’ decisions, arguing that the ruling party’s record clearly distinguishes it from its rivals.

Responding to a question on why Nigerians should support the Tinubu-Shettima ticket over possible opposition combinations such as Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso or Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi, Sule said the comparison was not even close.

“It’s like day and night; you can’t compare them. When you consider the President’s record, his courage, performance and vision, as well as what this administration has accomplished over the past three years, the difference is obvious,” he said.

The governor admitted that insecurity remains one of Nigeria’s biggest challenges but stressed that the problem predates the current administration.

“I know many people will point to insecurity, but it’s not an issue that started in the last three years,” Sule stated.

He maintained that despite ongoing security concerns, the Tinubu-led government has recorded notable progress in infrastructure development and implemented reforms across several sectors.

“Look at the scale of infrastructure projects taking place across the country. Many Nigerians say they never imagined such developments would become a reality,” he said.

Sule also highlighted improvements in the education sector and the economy, describing them as further evidence of the administration’s performance and commitment to national development.
