Obasanjo Backs Aiyedatiwa, Offers Best Wishes For Ondo Election
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has extended his best wishes to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for Saturday. During the visit, Obasanjo commended Aiyedatiwa for his dedication to engaging with the people and articulating his vision for the state, despite the challenges of the campaign trail. He praised the APC candidate for his courage and determination in presenting his plans to the electorate.
Obasanjo expressed his confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s efforts and wished him well in the election. Reflecting on his own campaign in 1999, the former president recalled how he covered the entire South West in one day, acknowledging the importance of the campaigning process.
Aiyedatiwa, in turn, thanked Obasanjo for his significant contributions to Nigeria’s development, noting that despite his prominence and military background, Obasanjo has always remained humble and compassionate.
