In justifying his decision, George explained that he sees the APC as the ideal platform for advancing development for the people. On Monday, he formally announced his switch in a letter to the APC Chairman of Ward 4 in Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State, accompanied by his team and key supporters.

George expressed his strong belief in the party’s vision, reaffirming his loyalty to the APC and his commitment to its growth and unity. He also emphasized his willingness to collaborate with party leaders and actively contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and electoral success.

“This marks the beginning of a new chapter in our political journey. We are determined to work with the APC to deliver good governance and success,” he said.

As the Aare Tayese of Ikenne, George cited youth inclusion, infrastructure development, and the need for quality representation as his key reasons for joining the APC. He stated, “When you look around, you see the hopelessness in the faces of our youths, who have been neglected by their representatives. Our people lack basic amenities, and there’s a clear need for better representation. APC is filling this gap.”

George had previously contested for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 House of Representatives election.
