Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has highlighted the significance of restructuring as the remedy for Nigeria’s political and socioeconomic challenges.

He conveyed this viewpoint during a town hall meeting held in the United States of America (USA).

He underscored that restructuring would grant all ethnic groups the opportunity to address their distinct needs and interests.

It would also enable them to utilize their resources effectively for the implementation of crucial projects across various federal units.

Referring to historical instances, the Ohanaeze leader reminded that pre-independence political conferences and the Aburi Accord both underscored restructuring as a pivotal measure to address Nigeria’s political challenges.

Iwuanyanwu pledged to leverage his position as the leader of the prominent Igbo group to initiate a substantial economic transformation in Igboland. He intends to harness the zone’s human and natural resources as a foundation for this endeavor.

He stated, “I have initiated study groups and committees to devise a comprehensive plan for unlocking the substantial agricultural potential in the Southeast zone.

Going forward, we will prioritize education, mining, transportation, industries, and infrastructural development, positioning the zone as an appealing investment hub in Nigeria and beyond.
