During today’s court proceedings, ASP Clement Okuoimose, the prosecutor, detailed that the accused committed the alleged crime on August 9 around 9:40 p.m. in the Badagry region of Lagos.

Okuoimose explained that Amine purportedly took Reuben Robinson, an individual affiliated with the Nigerian Air Force’s 653 base in Ahanve, Badagry, against his will to an undisclosed location.

The defendant’s actions, using his TVS motorcycle with registration number BDG 737 QP, were deemed to be potentially disruptive to public peace.

The charges laid against Amine contravene Sections 21 and 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015, according to the prosecutor.

Despite the allegations, Amine pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.

Chief Magistrate Fadahunsi Adefioye, presiding over the case, granted the defendant bail amounting to N50,000, with the stipulation of a surety of equivalent value. The assigned surety must have gainful employment and provide evidence of tax compliance for the past two years.
