Mohbad’s death occurred under controversial circumstances on September 12, leading to the exhumation of his remains in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
As investigations to uncover the mystery surrounding his death continued, the police arrested a prominent show promoter, Sam Larry.
Omokri implied that some Nigerians would criticize any police report that clears certain entertainers of involvement in Mohbad’s death.
In a post on X, Omokri conveyed, “A considerable number of Nigerians are not actually seeking #JusticeForMohBad. What they are seeking is vigilante justice against specific individuals they hold animosity towards.”
“To them, ‘Justice For MohBad’ implies that a particular person or group of people must be held responsible. I genuinely sympathize with the @PoliceNG in this situation.”
Omokri further mentioned that if the police’s investigation report absolves particular individuals, some people will insist that those individuals have been bribed or influenced inappropriately.
He emphasized that these individuals are not interested in a thorough investigation but rather seek a biased inquisition.
