Ondo State Police have apprehended Yusuf Adenoyin in Isua, Akoko South-East, for possessing eight human skulls. According to Police Public Relations Officer Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, officers from the Safer Highway Patrol arrested Adenoyin at a checkpoint on June 10, 2024. Upon searching his Nissan Salon car, they discovered eight dry human skulls, fresh human flesh, and charms concealed in a polythene bag within a garri sack he was carrying. Adenoyin confessed to intending to supply these items to herbalists and revealed he had already supplied seven human skulls prior to his arrest. Additionally, the police arrested three other individuals—Uche Onu, Ekene Okorie, and Celestine Eze—in Akure for their involvement in robbery activities. The suspects confessed to robbing a Scania truck and 61 50kg empty gas cylinders, resulting in injuries to a police constable at the crime scene. The stolen truck was recovered in Benin City, Edo State, and all the gas cylinders were found in Lagos State with Emmanuel Okike, who had purchased them. Francis Okafor is detained in Benin City in connection with another armed robbery, while efforts continue to apprehend Ezeego, who remains at large. The police plan to charge the three suspects in court after completing their investigation.
