Your Excellency,

I trust this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with the deepest respect and admiration for your visionary leadership and steadfast dedication to Nigeria’s progress that I write to you today.

Recent developments in Edo State under Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration have exposed a troubling pattern of mismanagement and deceit. Despite receiving a substantial grant of over N10 billion from the recent N570 billion allocation aimed at enhancing livelihood support, Governor Obaseki has failed to transparently account for this funding. Instead, he has chosen to blame your administration for the hardships faced by Edo citizens.

Governor Obaseki has also not distributed the 20 trailers of rice you generously allocated to the state, nor has he utilized the 30,000 bags of rice donated by Dangote. His misallocation of over N4 billion to a park in Edo North and over N1.5 billion to a non-existent Gelegele Sea Port project only underscores his ineffectiveness. His baseless accusations of failure against your administration are a disservice to the truth and a distraction from his own governance failures.

The situation has escalated to the point where Edo citizens are now attacking PDP members’ homes to retrieve the palliatives intended for the most vulnerable. This unfortunate reality highlights Obaseki’s pattern of repackaging resources as his own achievements while misleading the public and fostering discord.

Your Excellency, given your exemplary leadership and commitment to justice, we implore you to take decisive action. We urge you to suspend all benefits and allocations to Edo State that are channeled through Governor Obaseki. Instead, direct these resources to the citizens themselves, as Obaseki has proven to be unworthy of their trust and has consistently misused his office for personal and political gain.

We trust that you will act swiftly to address this issue and ensure that the welfare of Edo citizens is prioritized.
