According to the statement, aircraft conducting a surveillance patrol spotted three boats engaging in the unauthorized extraction of crude oil from a pipeline. In response, the aircraft engaged and destroyed these boats.

Continuing their mission towards Port Harcourt, the flight crew identified an active site of illegal refining, replete with tanks and reservoirs containing suspected refined products.

This operation took place approximately 4 miles South-East of Idama in Rivers State. The illegal refinery was subsequently targeted and obliterated.

The statement reiterated the commitment to sustaining air strikes against economic saboteurs until they cease their activities of theft and economic disruption.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff, has directed air component commanders across the nation to collaborate closely with other security agencies.

Their collective objective is to maintain relentless air strikes against criminal elements within the country.

Gabkwet emphasized, “The era of treating criminal elements in our nation leniently has ended. We are resolute in continuing along this course until we compel them all to capitulate.”
