Osun Mortuary Attendants Arrested For Selling Human Body Parts And Corpse Water To Ritualists

Operatives of the Niger State Police Command have arrested a suspected car thief and recovered a stolen Toyota Highlander in Tafa Local Government Area.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. According to Abiodun, the suspect claimed the vehicle had been handed to him by an individual named Baba Gadas, with instructions to deliver it to Mubarak in Kaduna for sale.

“On September 4, 2024, at around 4:00 AM, a distress call was received reporting that hoodlums had broken into a residence in the Tudun-Wada area near Sabon-Wuse, Tafa, and stolen a Toyota Highlander, registration number ABJ 775 AT, along with other valuables,” the statement said.

Once the report was made, security posts along the Kaduna road were immediately alerted. The stolen vehicle was later intercepted at the Customs checkpoint on Kaduna road, with Halilu Shuaibu, 28, from Gwarinpa, Abuja, in possession.

The suspect claimed that the vehicle was given to him by Baba Gadas from Zuba to be delivered to Mubarak in Kaduna for disposal.

The statement concluded, “The suspect has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Minna, along with the recovered vehicle, for further investigation and prosecution.”
