Governor Otu stated, “We have a manifesto to fulfill, and I believe that by the second year, we can already see some of those promises becoming a reality. I missed all of you dearly, and I return stronger and clearer in my objectives.”

The Governor noted that the solid foundation laid by his administration is now beginning to yield results. “We have sown the seeds; now we must nurture them for a harvest,” he remarked.

Otu also highlighted significant federal projects arriving in the state, such as the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone project and the long-awaited start of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. He referred to these initiatives as historic developments that will integrate Cross River more fully into Nigeria’s national economic framework.

Looking to the future, Otu shared exciting plans for the state, including a visit by the President of the African Development Bank and Nigeria’s Vice President for the groundbreaking of a new Export Processing Economic Zone. He described the project as a game-changer that will transform the state’s economy, creating new opportunities for jobs and investments.

“The opportunities for everyone to participate in this economic revival will be wide open. The sky is the limit for Cross River,” the Governor concluded, setting a hopeful tone for the future.
