Our Confidence Remains Strong– Man City Chairman Reacts To Financial Verdict

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has reiterated the club’s determination to defend its position after an independent commission found the Premier League champions guilty of the majority of the financial regulation breaches brought against them.

The case involves 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations, including claims relating to sponsorship revenue and payments that were allegedly not properly disclosed.

Following the latest development, Al Mubarak addressed Manchester City supporters and stressed that the legal process is not yet concluded, with the club expected to appeal the findings.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the City chairman maintained that the club’s confidence in its defence has not changed despite the commission’s verdict.

“The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began,” Al Mubarak said.

He explained that the club was unable to provide extensive details about the case because of the confidentiality surrounding the proceedings. However, he assured supporters that Manchester City would continue defending its position through the remaining stages of the legal process.

Al Mubarak also acknowledged that the club had experienced difficult periods in the past, but insisted that City would remain focused on protecting its interests despite what he described as attempts to undermine the club.

The Premier League has yet to announce any punishment arising from the commission’s findings, while reports indicate that Manchester City is expected to challenge the verdict through an appeal.

The eventual consequences remain uncertain and could depend on the outcome of the ongoing legal process. Possible sanctions that have been discussed include a financial penalty, points deduction or other disciplinary measures under Premier League regulations.

For now, Manchester City’s leadership maintains that the club will continue its legal defence as the long-running case moves into its next stage.
