His chilling words to his followers were clear: those considering defecting from the PDP to opposition parties should be coerced—if necessary, beaten into submission. With a twisted grin, he cited scripture: “From the days of John the Baptist till now, the Kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force,” using holy words to justify unholy actions.
