Outrage In Ogun: Husband Arrested After Video Of Wife Assault Goes Viral

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Fatai Quadri after a viral video showed him violently assaulting his wife, Rukayat Quadri, at their Illese-Ijebu residence on September 15, 2025.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In the footage, the suspect was seen punching his wife repeatedly, causing visible injuries. He was swiftly arrested by officers from the Igbeba Divisional Police Headquarters, Ijebu Ode.

According to the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola, preliminary investigations linked the attack to a marital dispute triggered by allegations of infidelity. Findings also revealed that Quadri had allegedly transferred ownership of a 10-room en-suite apartment, which he and his wife built together, to another woman—a decision that fueled the violent confrontation.

“The victim is currently receiving medical attention, while the suspect remains in custody and will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded,” Odutola stated.

She further disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, has reaffirmed the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on domestic violence, warning that perpetrators will face the full weight of the law.

Odutola also appealed to members of the public, particularly victims of domestic abuse, to report all forms of violence or threats to the nearest police station, stressing that silence only empowers abusers, while timely reporting ensures protection and justice.
