CONGRATULATIONS

The OWAN ADVOCACY FORUM FOR EQUITY AND FAIRNESS in the distribution of political positions in Edo State warmly and heartily congratulate your Excellency on your hard fought and deserved victory at the 2023 Presidential Election.

We equally congratulate your Excellency on your swearing in as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Forum believes that your Excellency earned the victory based on your tenacity and commitment to the ideals of Political Democracy and Engagements.

The Forum is convinced about your capacity to deliver on your campaign slogan ‘Renewed Hope’

The Forum equally believed that your Excellency needs men and women of substance and capacity to join you in your desire to rebuild Nigeria.

The Forum however appeal to your Excellency to consider a man or woman from OWAN FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY for Appointment as Minister representing Edo State in the Federal Executive Council. The Forum which was a force in Owan Federal Constituency during the electioneering openly canvased for support for your election.

It is the Forum’ concerns  that the Owan people of Edo State who are one of the oldest and fourth largest tribe in Edo State have not produced a Minister since 1999.

The Binis have produced 3 Ministers, the Esans, 4 Ministers, the Etsakos 1 Minister and the OWAN none.

The time is therefore ripe to consider an Owan Man for the position of Minister in your Administration.

Your Excellency Sir, the people of Owan Federal Constituency demonstrated their love for you and the APC during the Presidential Election.

The results from Owan Federal Constituency say so. The Owan people voted overwhelmingly for you, and you won in Owan Federal Constituency and won in the entire Edo North Senatorial District, to which Owan is a vital part.

The Leadership of the party, APC in Edo North Senatorial District, ably led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole canvased throughout the length and breath of EDO STATE for your support and the OWAN people were unbeaten.

A proud son of Owan Federal Constituency and the reelected member of the House of Representatives, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere equally preached your good message across the length and breath of Owan Federal Constituency, Edo North Senatorial District and Edo State in general.

The people of Owan East equally voted overwhelmingly for the member elect of the Edo State House of Assembly, Barr. Eric Okaka who was equally unrelenting in your support. All of which aptly demonstrated our love for the APC and your leadership of the party before your Emergency as President.

Let me assure your Excellency of the Forum support and continuous support for your Administration, as the Forum believes your Excellency will appoint an Owan Man as the minister representing Edo State in the Federal Executive Council, a position that has eluded the Owan people since 1999.

The Forum  however urges the members elect from Owan Federal Constituency, Edo North Senatorial District and Edo State in general to support your Excellency’s Administration in their legislative duties.

Once again, congratulations to the President, Senator Bola Almed Tinubu GCFR, the APC and congratulations to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
