Oyebanji Gets INEC Certificate Of Return After Landslide Second-Term Victory

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented a Certificate of Return to Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, following his victory in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The certificate was presented at the INEC state headquarters in Ado-Ekiti by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Bunmi Omoseyindemi, who represented the Commission’s Chairman, Prof. Joseph Amupitan.

The ceremony was attended by political leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, and supporters of the governor.

Omoseyindemi congratulated Oyebanji on his re-election and commended residents of the state for their peaceful conduct during the electoral process.

He urged political stakeholders to continue upholding democratic principles, noting that the successful conduct of the election reflected the commitment of INEC and other partners to strengthening democracy in Ekiti State.

In his remarks after receiving the certificate, Governor Oyebanji described his victory as a collective success for democracy, development, and good governance.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Ekiti State for renewing his mandate, noting that his re-election marked a historic achievement as he became the first governor in the state’s history to secure consecutive electoral victories through the ballot.

Oyebanji pledged not to take the trust reposed in him for granted.

He also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his support and commitment to democratic governance, as well as leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), traditional rulers, religious leaders, civil servants, youths, women’s groups, security agencies, and electoral officials for their roles in ensuring a peaceful election.

According to him, the renewed mandate places a greater responsibility on his administration to serve the people more effectively.

He added that his government would continue to pursue policies aimed at inclusive growth, sustainable development, and building on the achievements of his first term.
