Oyo School Abduction: Principal, Students Cry Out For Help In Viral Video

A woman identified as Mrs. Alamu, who introduced herself as the principal of Community High School, Esinele, has called for urgent assistance after she, alongside some staff members and students, was reportedly abducted by armed men in Oyo State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a viral video shared on social media on Sunday, Alamu said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. on Friday in Oriire Local Government Area.

“On Friday at about 9:30, we were attacked by a group of people. A good number of us, including staff and students, were abducted,” she said.

The principal appealed to the Federal Government, Oyo State Government, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and other concerned Nigerians to intervene and secure their release.

“We have been here since Friday. I am making this video to seek help from everyone. They should come to our aid and resolve this peacefully so that our lives will not be lost,” she added.

Another victim, identified as Temitope, who was seen carrying a baby in the video, also made a desperate appeal for help.

“We are all here and we need help from the federal government, the state government, the church, First Baptist Church, and the community. We need help so these people will release us. Please help us,” she said.

She further expressed concern over the condition of the abducted children.

“The children are here, they are crying. Please help us. Don’t neglect us,” she added.

Although the authenticity of the video could not be independently confirmed at the time of filing this report, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, told Punch that the command was aware of the footage.

“I have seen the video, we are working on it,” he said.
