Painful Discovery: Father’s Journey Through Betrayal After DNA Test Exposes Truth

Steven Opeyemi Moses, alongside his wife, found themselves in the spotlight of a Nigerian television courtroom show last year, grappling with this sensitive issue.

During the televised proceedings, Moses recounted that prior to their marriage, they underwent genotype testing, affirming his as AA and his wife’s as AS. However, when their son was diagnosed with SS genotype at the age of two, Moses sought further clarity by repeating the genotype test, which surprisingly returned SS results. This prompted Moses and his wife to reconfirm their own genotypes, yet the results remained consistent with their initial findings.

Despite his confusion, Moses chose to continue residing with his wife until the situation reached a tipping point in March or April of the preceding year, prompting him to opt for a DNA test.

Confirming her husband’s narrative to the court, his wife admitted that he hadn’t communicated his doubts to her but had independently pursued the DNA test.

Subsequently, the judge ordered a DNA test, revealing a zero percent probability of paternity, thus negating Moses’ biological connection to the child. When pressed by the judge to identify the child’s father, the wife maintained that no one else had been involved.

In light of these developments, the judge mandated another DNA test, this time between the wife and the child. However, Moses later disclosed on social media that his wife had refused to participate in the maternity test.

This ordeal underscores the complexities and challenges surrounding paternity disputes, underscoring the importance of transparent communication and recourse to scientific methods for resolving such delicate matters.
