Patrick Doyle Sparks Debate With Fiery Take On Two Nigerian Weddings In US And Europe
Media personality Patrick Doyle has shared his thoughts on the contrast between two recent high-profile Nigerian weddings held abroad, one in the U.S. and the other in Europe.
According to Doyle, while one ceremony came across as a flamboyant carnival with a mixed crowd of “the famous and the infamous,” the other radiated quiet sophistication, marked by elegance and a carefully curated guest list of accomplished personalities.
In his words:
“Two high-profile Nigerian weddings took place almost simultaneously in the U.S. and Europe. One was a gaudy carnival with a motley crowd of both the celebrated and the notorious, while the other was a showcase of quiet sophistication and class with a refined guest list of equally polished and accomplished individuals.
This, in many ways, reflects Nigeria’s dual identity. We can be loud and brash, yet at the same time, exude grace, sophistication, and style. I swear, I love Nigeria and being a Nigerian.”
