The former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections in Kano State, Yusuf Dambatta, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Dambatta confirmed his resignation from the PDP in a statement issued on Sunday, explaining that his decision followed extensive consultations with political leaders, associates, supporters, and key stakeholders.

He stated that his move to the APC was driven by his conviction that the party offers a stronger platform to contribute meaningfully to the development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.

“I hereby formally announce my decision to join the All Progressives Congress. This decision was taken after careful consideration and wide consultations with my leaders, political associates, supporters, and stakeholders,” he said.

Dambatta added that he was encouraged by what he described as the APC’s growing inclusiveness, its focus on citizens’ welfare, and its capacity to advance development goals.

“I am equally motivated by the growing spirit of inclusiveness within the APC, the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people, and the opportunity to contribute more effectively to the advancement of our state and nation,” he noted.

He also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership style and the Kano First Agenda, describing it as a vision centred on good governance, infrastructure development, human capital growth, and overall progress in the state.

“I am deeply inspired by the visionary leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the transformative Kano First Agenda, which reflects a strong commitment to development and progress,” he added.

Dambatta reaffirmed his dedication to public service, unity, peace, and sustainable development, while also expressing appreciation to PDP leaders and members for their past support and relationships.

He said he looks forward to collaborating with APC members and other stakeholders to support the Kano First Agenda and contribute to the continued development of the state.
