PDP Chairman Leads Visit To Yobe In Wake Of Terror Attack And Severe Flooding

On September 1, 2024, suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked Mafa village in Tarmuwa Local Government Area, looting and burning shops and homes. Additionally, devastating floods in Bade Local Government Area resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people, as reported by Chairman Babagana Ibrahim.

During the visit, Damagum praised Governor Buni for promoting unity and inclusiveness among the state’s residents despite political differences. He expressed the PDP’s solidarity with the people of Yobe, acknowledging the distress caused by the violence and floods.

Former Senate President Ahmad Lawan also visited the governor, offering prayers for the victims of both the Mafa attack and the floods, and extending his condolences to the affected families.
