PDP Drama: Dele Momodu Hits Back At Wike’s Camp with Scathing Comment

Momodu argued that it is Olayinka who appears to have forgotten Nigeria’s contemporary history. He also accused Wike of being intoxicated by power and behaving as though he owns the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Olayinka, during an interview with Arise News, had claimed that Momodu was unfamiliar with the origins of the PDP’s challenges, praising Wike for his efforts in rebuilding the party during its crisis.
In a swift response, Momodu described Olayinka’s comments as baseless, suggesting the aide might be exhibiting early signs of dementia. He further rejected the notion that Wike is a national leader of the PDP, stating that the FCT Minister’s sense of entitlement undermines his contributions to the party.
“I don’t know Lere Olayinka’s age, but it seems too early for him to be showing symptoms of dementia. How could he have forgotten Nigeria’s history? I went into exile in 1995, risking everything to operate Ovation International and produce Radio Freedom’s Yoruba segment,” Momodu wrote via Instagram on Thursday.
He continued: “Where was Nyesom Wike in 1995? What was his role in the democracy that birthed the PDP and transformed him from a budding politician to someone who now believes he owns the party? Wike should hire more competent media aides to help him manage his never-ending battles.”
Momodu’s remarks have added another layer to the ongoing feud within the PDP, as tensions between party factions escalate.
