Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State Central Senatorial district for the 2023 elections, has taken Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to court, accusing him of defamation.

Akpoti-Uduaghan alleges that the defendants associated her with terrorism activities in the state, demanding N10 billion in damages and an order restraining Bello from using defamatory words against her.

The politician had previously taken legal action in a similar circumstance, but the case was dismissed for being incompetent.
