The group suggested that there might be a hidden agenda behind the former lawmaker’s actions, casting doubts on his true intentions.
Akposeye emphasized the importance of caution during this sensitive period and cautioned Diri about the presence of potential “fifth columnists” in his midst. He alluded to the previous election cycle in 2019, where perceived betrayers within the party were deemed responsible for electoral losses, and urged against a repetition of such scenarios.
Highlighting the close relationship between Sunny-Goli and Sylva, Akposeye pointed out that Sylva had nurtured Sunny-Goli’s political career, from appointing him as a youth special adviser during his governorship to his tenure in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives.
The convener raised questions about the legitimacy of any apparent conflict between Sunny-Goli and Sylva.
Consequently, the PDP Alliance for Democracy advised both Governor Diri and fellow PDP members to exercise caution when dealing with individuals of uncertain loyalty.
The group emphasized their skepticism, citing a lack of trust due to the individuals’ historical backgrounds.
