PDP’s Onuesoke Backs Keyamo’s Anti-Corruption Efforts In Aviation Sector, No Apology Needed

A prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sunny Onuesoke, has commended the efforts of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in his bid to cleanse the aviation sector in Nigeria.

According to reports from Naija News, Keyamo, during a recent television interview, exposed the existence of a corrupt syndicate within the aviation industry. This group allegedly colluded with certain agency officials to bypass safety regulations, falsify training reports, and neglect regular aircraft maintenance, thereby endangering the lives of air travelers.

Keyamo pledged to confront this “cartel” head-on, refusing to back down from his mission.

In response to Keyamo’s revelations, some critics accused him of tarnishing the reputation of Nigeria’s aviation sector. However, Onuesoke strongly disagreed with calls for an apology from the minister, asserting that Keyamo’s actions were justified and aimed at safeguarding the lives of Nigerians.

Expressing his support for Keyamo, Onuesoke emphasized the importance of prioritizing passenger safety over political considerations. He applauded the minister’s decision to ground Dana Air due to safety concerns and urged him to persist in his efforts to enhance aviation safety standards.
