Speaking on Tuesday at the launch of the book “OBI: The Political Change Agent” in Abuja, authored by renowned journalist Ike Abonyi, Obi described the occasion as both a celebration of the book and a symbolic moment marking the rebirth of the Obidient Movement—a term coined to describe his passionate support base committed to democratic renewal and transformative leadership.

Obi praised Abonyi for his insightful documentation of a political journey rooted in competence, character, capacity, and compassion, noting that the book serves as a clarion call for a new kind of leadership in Nigeria.

He stressed that electoral integrity must be non-negotiable, insisting that citizens’ votes must genuinely reflect the people’s will, not be manipulated by a select few.

“Nigeria is standing at a pivotal crossroads,” Obi said. “This is not about personal ambition—it is about our children’s future, the sanctity of our institutions, and the destiny of our country. We must never stop believing in the dream of a new Nigeria—one founded on justice, equity, and service to the people.

The event also featured a keynote address by Prof. Sam Amadi, who highlighted the inevitability of Nigeria’s rebirth and inspired hope for national transformation.

Obi’s renewed message comes as the country gears up for the 2027 elections, reenergizing supporters and reigniting momentum behind his vision for a better Nigeria.
