Despite Peter Obi’s vocal criticisms of the government and emphasis on transparency, Omokri highlighted a contradiction, stating, “How can Peter Obi ask for transparency from the government when he has not been transparent about the donations he received from Nigerians?”

Obi reportedly received substantial donations from Nigerians, amounting to billions of naira, following the presidential election. However, Omokri noted that months after receiving these funds, there has been no disclosure about how the money was managed or spent.

“How much did he receive? How was the money spent? He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. If you cannot be transparent with donated money, is it public money you will be transparent with?” Omokri questioned.

The political commentator urged Obi to provide straightforward answers to these questions, emphasizing that transparency is essential, especially when dealing with donated funds. Omokri concluded by suggesting that Obi should return to Nigeria from Ghana to address these concerns, even if it requires flying on a private jet.
