Obi highlighted that the Obedient Movement’s membership spans across political parties, gender, ethnicity, religion, and geopolitical regions. He underscored the group’s primary objective of fostering a new Nigeria characterized by possibility and inclusivity.
In a statement on his platform, Obi clarified, “The Obedient Movement is not affiliated with any specific political party. Individuals claiming leadership of a non-existent directorate within a particular party are not representative of the broader Obedient Movement.”
He further elaborated, “While political parties may have youth mobilization directorates, the Obedient Movement operates on a broader scale, encompassing diverse backgrounds and transcending traditional affiliations.”
Emphasizing the movement’s commitment to transformative change, democratic values, fairness, and accountability, Obi reiterated its dedication to realizing a better future for Nigeria through the New Nigeria project.
He stated, “The Obedient Movement operates independently of any political party and welcomes members from all affiliations. Our focus remains unwavering in driving positive change and advocating for a New Nigeria that benefits all citizens.”
Obi concluded, “We stand as a beacon of hope for a reimagined Nigeria, where leadership is defined by integrity, competence, and compassion. This is our identity, and it will endure.”
