The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, over what he described as his repeated movement from one political party to another.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking on Wednesday during his monthly media briefing in Abuja, Wike said Obi’s pattern of party switching reflects poor leadership qualities.

According to him, rather than remain in a political party to help resolve internal crises, Obi tends to exit whenever challenges arise.

Wike also criticised Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over his emergence as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, questioning the relevance of such a position.

He said, “Bala has gone, and Seyi now says he is the chairman of PDP Governors Forum. How can you be chairman of a one-member forum?”

Turning his attention to Obi, Wike recalled his political journey through several parties, alleging inconsistency in his affiliations.

He said Obi moved from APGA, to the PDP, then to the Labour Party, and later to the ADC, before allegedly shifting again to the NDC whenever internal disagreements emerged.

Wike added that Obi’s repeated defections suggest a lack of commitment to party-building, concluding that he appears to follow wherever “things are convenient.
