In an interview with Why Not Afrika, Obi discussed the economic decline in the Onitsha area of the River Niger. He noted that the region was once a thriving economic hub, thanks to infrastructure established by the colonial administration. Obi emphasized that the River Niger, if properly managed like Egypt’s Nile, could significantly enhance Nigeria’s logistics system.
