Photos: Bobrisky Exits Nigeria After Being Freed From Custody Controversial Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okunneye, widely known as Bobrisky, was recently spotted traveling out of the country alongside Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose.

Isaac, who had previously criticized Bobrisky’s detention, shared photos of their journey on his Instagram on Thursday evening. He revealed that they were on the same flight to London, stating, “See who is on the same flight ✈️ with me to London @bobrisky222.”

Bobrisky also took to his Instagram story to post a playful remark, saying, “Who laughs last laughs best.”

This development follows Bobrisky’s arrest by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) at the Seme border last week during an alleged attempt to leave the country. He was subsequently transferred to the Lagos FCID in Alagbon for further investigation.

Bobrisky to Face Fresh Criminal Charges

Meanwhile, Bobrisky may face new criminal charges after claims emerged regarding his time in custody. Reports suggest he served part of his six-month sentence in a private apartment and allegedly bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him.

Recall that Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12 for abusing the naira and was released on August 5.

On September 30, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, established an investigative panel to look into allegations of corruption related to Bobrisky’s release. This inquiry was prompted by a video shared by the activist VeryDarkMan, where Bobrisky claimed he had bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to dismiss money laundering charges and facilitated his detention in a private residence.

While the panel found no evidence to support Bobrisky’s claims of serving his sentence outside the Kirikiri Custodial Centre, it recommended that he face defamation and criminal charges. The report concluded that Bobrisky’s allegations had damaged the reputation of the correctional service and called for an investigation by the Department of State Services into potential bribery of EFCC or correctional officials. If substantiated, these allegations could lead to charges of corrupt practices against him.
