In a separate development, the National Assembly Election Tribunal on Monday ousted Peter Gyendeng of the PDP from his position as a Member representing the Barkin-Ladi/Riyom federal constituency. It declared Fom Chollom of the LP as the winner of the election.
Fom Chollom had contested the INEC declaration that Peter Gyendeng of the PDP was the winner of the election, asserting that Gyendeng was not validly nominated by the PDP at the time of nomination due to the absence of a valid party structure.
