Policemen from the Ilasan Division of the Lagos State Police Command have apprehended four individuals on suspicion of unlawfully withdrawing N1.4 million from a victim’s account in a one-chance robbery incident within the state.

The suspects, identified as Micheal Adeyeye, Biodun Iyiola, Adeleye Dotun, and Habeeb Azeez, were taken into custody following a thorough investigation prompted by the victim’s complaint.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state, the arrest was announced through his official communication channel. He stated that detectives from the Ilasan Division successfully apprehended the suspects, aged between 26 and 46, in Ijora-Badia. The arrest followed a discreet probe into the victim’s report of the fraudulent withdrawal of N1.4 million during a one-chance robbery incident in Ilasan.

Hundeyin further clarified that the decision not to obscure the suspects’ faces was due to their admission of guilt through confessional statements. Additionally, this measure aims to facilitate the identification of the suspects by other potential victims.
