Police Detain Suspect Linked To Attempted Murder And Armed Robbery In Niger State
The Niger State Police Command has apprehended Zingfa Nambon from Gwagwalada in Abuja on charges of conspiracy, attempted murder, and armed robbery. SP Wasiu Abiodun, the command’s spokesperson, disclosed this on June 20, 2024, stating that Nambon was arrested by Bosso Division police officers around 5:30 PM on May 22.
According to SP Abiodun, Nambon and his accomplice Francis Moses boarded a commercial tricycle and, upon reaching a location, assaulted the driver, restrained him with a cable wire, and ejected him from the vehicle. They then absconded with the tricycle. Nambon later confessed that Moses took the tricycle to Abuja and paid him four hundred thousand naira.
During the investigation, Nambon was caught with multiple blank tricycle receipts and cable wire. The police are actively pursuing Francis Moses, who remains at large.
