The Lagos State Police have clarified the release of young men who were freed by a court after spending four years in detention.

These individuals were originally arrested during the EndSARS protests in 2020 and had been held since then.

On Thursday, August 22, an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court ordered their release, prompting public outcry over the lengthy detention period.
