Police Thwart Deadly Bandits Attack In Katsina, Eliminate 7 Suspects
The Katsina State Police Command has neutralized 7 bandits who launched an attack on Ruwan Doruwa village in the Dutsinma Council Area of the state.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
During the operation, the Command recovered sixty-one (61) cows, forty-four (44) sheep, two (2) donkeys, one (1) goat, and one (1) dog.
According to a statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, the bandits attempted the unsuccessful attack on Saturday.
On January 18th, 2025, at approximately 9:00 AM, a distress call was received at the Dutsinma Divisional Police Headquarters, reporting an assault by armed bandits with dangerous weapons such as AK-47 rifles, who had attacked Ruwan Doruwa village in Dutsinma LGA, Katsina State.
“Upon receiving the report, swiftly, the DPO, in collaboration with the military, DSS, members of the KTSCWC, and the vigilante, mobilized and responded to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle, which resulted in the neutralization of seven (7) suspected armed bandits while the rest fled the scene with various degrees of injuries, leaving behind all the suspected rustled animals,” it read.
The State’s Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, commended the operatives for their exceptional display of gallantry, valor, and professionalism.
He further reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public.
The Commissioner also called on members of the public to continue supporting the command by providing timely and useful information to aid in the ongoing fight against all forms of crime and criminality in the state.
