The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee, aligned with the faction backed by Nyesom Wike, has rejected claims that the party has entered into any alliance with the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, PDP National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed clarified that the party is not involved in any coalition or political arrangement with the APM or any other group.

He emphasized that the PDP has no knowledge of, nor participation in, any political gathering linked to the APM in Oyo State.

According to him, the party is not part of any agreement or alliance concerning the reported event in Ibadan, adding that individuals claiming to represent the PDP in that context are acting without authorization.

He further alleged that the event being publicized as a political alliance is, in reality, a misrepresentation allegedly driven by Governor Seyi Makinde and his associates to project false political support and influence.

Mohammed accused Makinde of attempting to mask his political intentions through claims of alliances and consultations, describing such moves as deceptive and politically motivated.

He also argued that the Ibadan gathering was simply a public show of Makinde’s political alignment with the APM, insisting that similar movements by other politicians had already become evident.

The PDP spokesperson further claimed that recent internal activities within the party, including the turnout of aspirants to pick nomination forms at Wadata Plaza, demonstrate loyalty to the party’s “authentic leadership” under Abdulrahman Mohammed and Samuel Anyanwu.

He questioned why some politicians allegedly opposed to the current structure still obtained nomination forms under an interim leadership arrangement, arguing that such actions expose contradictions in their stance.

Mohammed maintained that political propaganda cannot override legitimacy, insisting that recent developments have clarified the true direction of internal party alignments.

He added that the PDP is focused on stability and unity rather than engaging in political disputes, stressing that the party will not be distracted by media controversies.

Finally, he assured members and stakeholders that the PDP remains united, strong, and fully prepared for the 2027 general elections without legal or structural setbacks.
