Nyako, popularly known as “Commander,” announced his decision on Sunday, attributing his exit to unresolved internal divisions within the ADC in Adamawa State.

The former lawmaker, who served in the 8th National Assembly, had only joined the ADC a few months ago after previously leaving the APC. His latest move signals another shift in the political dynamics of the state as preparations for the next election cycle begin.

Confirming the development, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri described the defection as part of efforts to strengthen the APC’s structure in the state.

Fintiri, who recently assumed control of the party’s structure in Adamawa, said Nyako’s return was a strategic move, emphasizing the importance of experienced politicians with strong grassroots influence in consolidating the party’s position.

He also confirmed that Nyako has completed all necessary formalities and is now officially a registered member of the APC.
