The party described the video as misleading, insisting it was a deliberate distortion of facts intended to misrepresent Ogunbiyi’s remarks.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Osogbo, APC spokesperson Kola Olabisi alleged that the video was being circulated by members of the Accord Party, whom he referred to as “failed political entities.”
According to him, the content of Ogunbiyi’s address at the meeting was selectively edited and twisted to create a false narrative.
The party reiterated its confidence in Ogunbiyi, describing him as a loyal and dependable leader within its ranks.
The statement added that those behind the circulation of the video had engaged in deliberate misrepresentation aimed at advancing their political interests.
The APC further questioned the motive behind what it described as the selective editing of the footage, noting that key portions of Ogunbiyi’s speech showing his support for the party were omitted.
It stressed that Ogunbiyi has consistently demonstrated commitment to the party and has remained actively involved in efforts to strengthen its position ahead of future elections.
The party urged members of the public and supporters to ignore the viral clip, describing it as a distorted version of events designed to cause confusion.
It maintained that Ogunbiyi remains fully committed to the APC’s goal of reclaiming Osun State in the next governorship election.
