With less than 24 hours to the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in Anambra State, a governorship aspirant has officially announced his withdrawal from the race.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The announcement was made on Friday evening through a statement issued by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. According to Morka, Chukwuma Umeoji, a former gubernatorial aspirant, conveyed his decision to withdraw after consulting with his supporters.

The statement read:
“An aspirant in tomorrow’s gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji, has informed the Party of his decision to withdraw from the election. According to him, this decision was made in good faith following consultations with my supporters across the state.”

The APC expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Umeoji for his aspirations and unwavering support for the party at both state and national levels. The party also expressed hope that Umeoji would continue to support and work towards the victory of the eventual APC gubernatorial candidate in the Anambra election scheduled for November 8, 2025.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that the Anambra gubernatorial election will take place on November 8th, 2025.
