In a post shared on his Instagram page, the singer singled out Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide, arguing that fame and financial success have influenced the type of music they now produce.

According to Portable, the artistes have shifted their focus to songs centred on women, luxury and lavish lifestyles, while neglecting themes that reflect the realities and everyday struggles of ordinary Nigerians.

He claimed their recent releases lack motivational content and no longer provide lessons or encouragement that listeners can apply to their daily lives.

The “Zazu” crooner further suggested that their success may have distanced them from the experiences of many Nigerians.

Portable urged fellow musicians to embrace more socially conscious music capable of inspiring positive change, while also encouraging them to produce more songs that promote faith and gratitude to God.

Expressing his views, he said Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide rarely include messages that glorify God in their music, choosing instead to focus on women and material possessions.

He added that Nigerian audiences have grown weary of songs centred on frivolous themes and called on artistes to raise the standard of their songwriting by producing music with greater substance and positive impact.
