In a video that quickly went viral, he suggested a partnership with music executive Don Jazzy while raising doubts about why some former signees no longer dominate the music scene.

Portable referenced popular acts associated with the label, claiming that even rising star Rema has lost prominence, while Tiwa Savage continues to enjoy success. He directly called on Don Jazzy to collaborate with him, implying that proper guidance from the label could elevate his career.

He said:
“Don Jazzy, why is it that everyone who leaves your label doesn’t reign again? Come and package me, let’s partner. Even Rema is no longer reigning. Only Tiwa Savage is.”

The comments come shortly after singer Crayon, who joined Mavin Records in 2019, shared a series of now-deleted social media posts accusing the label boss of serious misconduct.
