“Some may focus on Bianca being the widow of Ojukwu, but she brings valuable diplomatic experience. Appointing her as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs reflects the President’s intentions. While some might view this as political, her experience is undeniable and will benefit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” Onanuga stated.
On the decision to retain the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Onanuga explained, “The President aims to expand the ministry’s scope. Given the widespread poverty in our country, the government recognizes the need to provide support to vulnerable populations. Although corruption has plagued this ministry in the past, the current administration is implementing technology to enhance accountability, ensuring that financial aid is directed to those verified through their National Identification Number (NIN).
