The President made these remarks during a meeting with an EU delegation, led by Ms. Jutta Urpilainen, EU Commissioner for International Partnerships, in Abuja.
The President also expressed his approval of the signing of eight financing agreements between Nigeria and the EU, part of the “EU Global Gateway in Nigeria,” at a separate event in Abuja.
“Democracy is a challenging journey, but we must persist in our fight for it to always triumph,” President Tinubu stated.
He underscored the significance of economic collaboration with the EU in various areas, including digital education, traditional and renewable energy, and broadband access.
Tinubu conveyed that Nigeria’s economy is undergoing significant and enduring reforms aimed at uplifting millions of Nigerians from poverty.
“We have a youthful and dynamic population, and we are committed to success. Our success is synonymous with the success of democracy and freedom,” he added.
