The letter of intent from President Tinubu was read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the plenary on Tuesday, November 28.
It was reported that the Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday approved the 2024 Appropriation Bill amounting to N27.5 trillion. Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that the budget was adjusted from N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion due to changes in the foreign exchange rate.
In accordance with constitutional requirements, President Tinubu is anticipated to present the 2024 appropriation bill before the National Assembly.
