The Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, on behalf of the President, presented the first list and had promised a second list of approximately 14 more nominees.

According to the Senate source, the names of the new batch of nominees will either be presented on Tuesday night or very early on Wednesday morning, and they will be read during the plenary session today.

The Senate is eager to conclude the screening process before their scheduled recess. As of now, the screening of the first 28 nominees will be concluded today, allowing for the second batch to be screened thereafter.

The Senate had postponed its annual recess to begin the screening process on Monday. So far, 14 out of the 28 ministerial nominees have been screened on Monday, and nine were screened on Tuesday.
