President Bola Tinubu and other influential political groups have reportedly expressed strong interest in Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, the 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Jandor recently resigned from the PDP, citing issues of indiscipline and anti-party activities within the party. He accused the PDP’s national leadership of sabotaging his governorship ambition, alleging that party chieftain Bode George played a role in his political struggles. He also claimed that a misleading alliance narrative misdirected PDP supporters to vote for another candidate.

Amid these developments, Jandor met with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, a move widely seen as a significant political shift.

Speaking with Vanguard, Jandor’s spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, described the meeting as a strategic step in his political journey. He confirmed that Jandor has been engaging in high-level political consultations, including discussions with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other key figures.

Ogunleye emphasized that Jandor’s decision regarding his political future will not be made in isolation. He revealed that PDP leaders, including the National Secretary, had reached out in an attempt to dissuade him from leaving the party.

He added that Jandor plans to consult with his political associates and key stakeholders in Lagos over the weekend before addressing the media on Monday, March 17, 2025.

“I can confirm that Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) met with President Bola Tinubu on Monday. He has also previously met with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar, and SDP presidential candidate Prince Adewole Adebayo, among other national leaders.

“There is significant interest from major political groups, including the president himself. However, Jandor will not make this decision alone—stakeholders will deliberate over the weekend, and by God’s grace, the best decision will be reached,” Ogunleye stated.
