Ayodele warned that Kanu would die in detention if he refused to make this plea. The advice was given during the launch of his 30th “Warning to the Nations” at his church in Lagos on Saturday.Kanu is currently detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) on orders from the Nigerian government.

This advice comes as Southeast governors and senators plan to meet President Bola Tinubu to seek a political solution to Kanu’s continued detention.

Kanu has been detained since June 2021, following his re-arrest in Kenya and repatriation to Nigeria.

Despite court orders granting him bail, the Nigerian government has refused to release him.Ayodele also predicted that Nigeria would eventually break up, but not through the actions of Kanu or Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.

He stated that the breakup would occur without violence and would start from the North.According to Ayodele, “Nigeria will break but not through Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho.

Kanu should beg the government before he is released, or else he will die in jail. He should step aside because he lacks the capacity to lead the agitation.

The breakup will happen naturally, without bloodshed. Prayer and fasting will not prevent it, as the spirit of existence is exhausted. The spirit of our forefathers like Tafawa Balewa is not happy. Nigeria’s breakup will start from the North.”
